Number and many-story building

I think I mixed up the following two characters yesterday. — Carl 08:32, 14 Mar 2007 (CET)

  • 楼 lou2 Note the wooden radical on the left. Many-story buildings are made of wood... at times.
  • 数 shu4 Note the go radical on the right. I have no idea about the real origin of this character, but I picture a woman going through the rice fields, counting.
