Nomic:Game 2005-04-02:Whether the beard counts when casting ones vote

It has come to my attention as Judge that there is a slight problem among the players in interpretation of the rules.

The situation is this, Jonas voted yes on p330 claiming to wear a beard, he later shaved and changed his vote to be more in concordance to his now new status as a smoothie (wheter changing ones vote is ok will be left for another judgement).

What shalll we do?

Well, according to r318, Real Men "a player without a beard has exactly 0 (zero) votes when voting on rule proposals" (my highlighting). As I see it this can only be interpreted in one way, it is only when a player is voting that the beard is checked. Wheter he (or, in rare circumstances, she (even though the rule doesn't apply to them (women))) shaves during the period the rule is up for vote is immaterial.

So I judge that User:Jonas:Jonas didn't have to change his vote just because he shaved. No punishment will be dealt to Jonas (or anyone else for that matter).
