Chinese words containing only first tones

This is a non-comprehensive list of multi-syllable words whose Mandarin pronunciation consists only of first tones. The first tone is high and monotone, making the longer words sound as if sung or uttered by a robot.

For once, accents on the pinyin transcription are redundant and won't be included.

  • 飞机 feiji, airplane
  • 收音机 shouyinji, radio
  • (喝)咖啡 (he) kafei, (drink) coffe
